On May 4, FIA submitted comments to the International Organization of Securities Commissions about how trading venues can keep order amid extreme volatility. FIA noted that exchange-traded derivatives markets have been leaders in the development of controls to manage extreme volatility, and encouraged the implementation and calibration of market volatility controls in a fair and transparent manner across all venues.
