These include levels of trading activity on exchanges and swap execution facilities as well as the number of clearing firms in the U.S. and the amount of customer funds held by these firms.

    The total amount of customer funds in futures accounts at US FCMs reached $337.4 billion in May, up 2.9% from the previous month but down 1.3% over the last 12 months.

  • June 2024 SEF trading activity

    Trading volume on swap execution facilities reached $1.25 trillion in average notional value per day during June 2024. This was up 8.8% from the previous month and up 34.1% from the same month of the previous year. Compared to May 2024, trading was up in every category except the FRA sector.
