The New Hire Academy provides a structured learning experience that helps participants build foundational market knowledge, understand key industry functions, and develop the confidence to contribute more quickly in their roles. Details

The four engaging and interactive courses run approximately 45 minutes each:

• Futures Market Basics explores why futures markets exist, how they have evolved, how they operate, and what sets them apart from other types of markets.
• Lifecycle of a Futures Trade follows a trade from order entry through execution, clearing and settlement.
• Anatomy of a Futures Brokerage Firm covers the functions of a front, middle and back office and how they interact.
• Exchange Trading & Regulatory Fundamentals covers accessing the markets, how a central limit order book works, position limits, block trades and exchange-for-related physicals and key exchange rules that impact traders.

Who Should Take these Courses? 

This program is intended for new entrants to the futures industry whether right out of college or transitioning from another position within the firm or another industry.
