FIA has submitted comments to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government on its First Five-Year Plan for 2026–2030, recommending that the continued development of Hong Kong’s listed derivatives markets form an important part of the Plan.
FIA recommends refinements to the position limit framework, greater capital and margin efficiency, stronger market liquidity and product development, and enhanced Mainland and international market access. Taken together, these reforms would strengthen the competitiveness of Hong Kong’s listed derivatives markets and support the Plan’s objectives for Hong Kong as an international financial and risk management centre.
