Bryan Durkin is a former president of CME group and currently serves on its board of directors. He previously served as CME’s chief commercial officer since 2014 and as chief operating officer since 2007. Before joining CME Group, Durkin served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Chicago Board of Trade. His career at CME and CBOT spans nearly 40 years. 

At CME Group, Durkin was responsible for overseeing the company’s international, technology, global operations and data services businesses. Among his many accomplishments were leading the integration of CME with CBOT in 2007 and overseeing the company's acquisition of the New York Mercantile Exchange in 2008. Before joining CME, Durkin served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the CBOT as well as leading CBOT's office of investigations and audits.  

He previously served as a member of the COMEX Governors Committee and the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Technology Advisory Committee and Energy and Environmental Markets Advisory Committee. Durkin serves on the Board of Advisors for Misericordia and on the Board of Trustees for Lewis University.
