FIA PTG comments on SEC market data infrastructure proposal

3 June 2020

June 3, 2020 - In a letter submitted to the SEC today, the FIA Principal Traders Group (FIA PTG) supported the goals of the Market Data Infrastructure Proposal to update and expand the information included in the Securities Information Processor (SIP) and to move to a decentralized consolidation model. However, the Group also voiced their concern with the limitations placed on self-aggregators when it comes to sharing the self-consolidated market data, or any subset thereof, with affiliated entities. FIA PTG encouraged the Commission to allow self-aggregators to share consolidated market data across their affiliated entities.
