With over 35 years of industry experience gained in leadership roles in Paris, Tokyo and London, Jerome Kemp is a recognised leader in the global futures industry.

In 2020, Kemp announced his retirement from Citi where he was global head of futures, clearing and collateral. During his nine years at the bank, he built out the OTC clearing platform and drove the growth of the cleared derivatives business to a position of global leadership, working with his team to set a global benchmark for thought leadership, innovation, and client partnership in the rapidly evolving post GFC industry landscape. In 2018, his responsibilities were expanded to include the bank’s FX prime brokerage business.

Prior to joining Citi, Kemp worked at JP Morgan for 18 years, leading the Asian futures business in Tokyo before taking over responsibility for the EMEA futures business. He was named global co-head of futures at JP Morgan in 2008 and was instrumental in transforming the bank's on-exchange futures and options business into a broader group incorporating OTC derivatives and clearing services.

Kemp served for more than nine years on the FIA Executive Board and was a board member prior to that of the FOA, the predecessor to FIA Europe. Kemp was chair of the FIA board from 2018 until his retirement in 2020. Throughout his career Kemp worked with distinction to drive positive change for the derivatives industry and raise standards to make markets more resilient, safer and competitive.
