Update on FIA’s response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

17 March 2020

With the health and well-being of our society in the forefront of our minds, FIA has implemented several measures to keep members informed of issues related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to continue normal operations.

FIA has created a dedicated Coronavirus (COVID-19) webpage on our website at https://fia.org/covid-19. This page contains important FIA staff contact information and is currently being updated regularly with guidance from global exchanges, CCPs and regulators.  This site also contains information and updates on upcoming FIA events and conferences to help with member planning.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19, we have been closely monitoring the situation and working with members, regulators, industry associations and other similar groups to gather information and identify potential issues impacting our markets.  As a result of these efforts, we have several active workstreams in place across FIA Operations, FIA Legal and FIA Risk Management to coordinate industry actions in response to the COVID-19.

In addition, FIA has adopted a work from home policy for all its global staff to ensure the safety and continuity of our operations.  This should not impact our levels of service to our members and we look forward to increasing our member communications across-the-board to ensure market participants stay informed during this difficult time.

The health and safety of our members and staff is our paramount concern, and we appreciate your support and understanding during this time.
