FIA EPTA members elect new executive committee

12 June 2019

FIA EPTA’s members have elected a new Executive Committee as the governing body of the industry organisation, supporting its chairman, Mark Spanbroek, and Secretary General, Piebe Teeboom.

Following the election, the FIA EPTA Executive Committee for the first time has equal gender representation from the member firms.

The new Executive Committee consists of Mark Spanbroek (independent and Chairman), Diederik Dorst (Flow Traders NV, Vice Chairman), Sandra Burggraf (Maven Europe Ltd.), Jan Dezort (RSJ Securities a.s.), Johannah Ladd (Quantlab Europe BV), Alan McGroarty (Tower Research Capital Europe Ltd), Jackie Mesa (FIA), Virginie Saade (Citadel Securities Europe Ltd.) and Piebe Teeboom (Secretary General, non-voting).

Mark Spanbroek, Chairman of FIA EPTA, said, “We are pleased to welcome the new Executive Committee into office, and it is very good to see the ExCo has an equal proportion of men and women from the membership, something which we hope signals an increasing representation of women in our industry.

"We look forward to working together as a committee over the coming year to deliver on the priorities that matter for FIA EPTA members, and will continue to engage across Europe to advocate for sensible and proportionate regulatory outcomes for our industry.”
