On 2 January, FIA Europe and ISDA filed a joint response to ESMA's consultation on draft guidelines clarifying the definition of commodities derivatives as financial instruments under MiFID I. ESMA is expected to publish final guidelines in Q1 2015. These guidelines will apply until MiIFD II is fully implemented in January 2017.
